Axe-Wielding Swimmers: Lumberjack Divers Gear Up for Lancer Dive Challenge

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Jan. 8, 2025) – The diving squad for Northern Arizona women is set to travel this week to take part in the Lancer Dive Invite, organized by California Baptist.

The Lumberjacks’ latest competition was a dual meet against Arizona on Jan. 3.

In the 1-meter dive event, Mackenna Stocker achieved a score of 265.20 to finish in a tie for second place. Victoria Knapp secured fourth place with 246.75 points, while Grace Wesche came in fifth with 245.93.

Stocker topped the leaderboard in the 3-meter dive with a score of 262.43. Knapp wrapped up in fourth with 246.00, and Catalina Devia finished fifth with 245.33.

After her outstanding performance, Stocker received the honor of WAC Diver of the Week, marking her second time earning this recognition this season.

California Baptist recently participated in the UNLV Invite, where the women’s team placed fifth out of eight competitors. Audrey Thordarson-Wehner, a sophomore hailing from Sherwood Park, Alberta, achieved third place in the 3-meter dive with 281.60 points and fourth in the 1-meter dive with 246.55.

Other teams set to compete at the invite include Colorado State, San Diego State, the University of San Diego, and Claremont.

Preliminary rounds will commence at 12:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time, with results accessible on DiveMeets.
