ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The Navy swimming and diving squads will head to New Jersey this week to face off against Princeton and Kenyon in a two-day competition at DeNunzio Pool. The teams will compete on Friday at 5 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m., with the results from Friday’s dual meet carrying over into Saturday.

The Navy men’s squad has achieved a 9-3 record while the women’s squad arrives at the meet with a 7-4 record. Each Princeton team remains undefeated in dual meets, with the men’s team holding a 5-0 record and the women’s team a 6-0 record. The Kenyon men’s team is positioned sixth in the recent NCAA Division III National Poll with a 1-1 record, while their women’s team ranks second nationally and has achieved a 2-0 record.

There will be an ESPN+ video live stream for both days of competition, featuring separate cameras for the swimming and diving events each day.

Navy

The Navy men’s team commenced the 2025 calendar year with a 158-125 triumph over Towson on Saturday. The Mids claimed victory in all 16 events against the Tigers. Swimmers Everet Andrew and Ben Irwin each secured victories in two individual events, while diver Blakeman Shaw swept both boards.

The Navy women’s team has not competed since their matchup against Army on December 5.

Princeton

The Princeton teams have faced only Ivy League opponents this season.

Last season, the Princeton men’s team recorded an overall 8-3 record and finished in second place at the Ivy League Championship. Among the team’s victories was a 199-154 win over Navy during a two-day competition involving both teams and Notre Dame.

The Princeton women’s squad posted an 11-1 regular season record last year on their way to clinching the Ivy League Championship. The Tigers, who ranked 20th in the final national standings of the 2023-24 season, triumphed over Navy with a score of 295-58.

Princeton leads the men’s series against Navy with a tally of 72-25, and the Tigers have won all previous four meetings in the women’s category against the Mids.

Kenyon

The Kenyon swimming and diving teams are recognized as the most successful programs across any NCAA sport. The men’s team captured a record 31 consecutive NCAA titles from 1980-2010, while the women’s team has secured a record 25 national championships since the 1983-84 season. The Kenyon men’s team has finished in the top three at seven of the last eight NCAA Championships, and the women’s team has clinched the NCAA title in two of the last three years, placing no lower than third in the last seven NCAA meets.

This marks the inaugural meeting between Navy and Kenyon.
