Men’s Wrestling Set for Thrilling National Duals Showdown!

WAVERLY, Iowa — The top-ranked Wartburg men’s wrestling squad (6-0 overall) is set to participate in the 2025 U.S. Marine Corps/National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) National Dual Meet Championships this coming weekend, January 10-11, at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

The Knights will compete against the victor of the preliminary match between No. 18 Central and No. 23 Olivet in the first round on Friday at 12 p.m.

NWCA Duals History

Wartburg aims for its 14th NWCA National Duals Championship, as it currently holds the record for the most titles in all divisions with 13 National Duals championships. The Knights have reached the finals every year except for 2019 and 2023 since the tournament began in 2002. Wartburg’s 19 appearances in the finals also stands as a tournament record.

Wartburg last secured the title in 2024 (21-19) against then-No. 1 Augsburg.
