Tar Heel Triumphs: The Spirit of UNC Athletics

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The North Carolina swimming and diving teams are set to rekindle their rivalry with Duke on Friday, January 10, at 5 p.m. in Chapel Hill.

Prior to the commencement of the meet, UNC will pay tribute to its graduating seniors in a pre-meet ceremony.

In conjunction with the celebration, the team will invite fans in attendance to compete for various prizes during the meet: tickets to the UNC vs. Duke Men’s Basketball game, an autographed ball from Coach Hubert Davis, new Nike sneakers, and a swag bag filled with UNC Swim & Dive merchandise along with a gift voucher.

For fans unable to attend the Koury Natatorium, the meet will be broadcasted on ACCNX, with live results accessible on Meet Mobile.

The Previous Performance: Aranza Vázquez Montaño was honored as the ACC Diver of the Week last week after securing victories in two events during the University of Georgia Invitational.

Rankings: Both teams from North Carolina are positioned in the top 25 of the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America rankings. The men’s squad holds the No. 12 position, while the women are placed at No. 17. Duke’s women’s team arrives at Koury Natatorium ranked 21st in the nation.
