Where have your indoor fireworks gone, Samsung?

This week, Delta was the inaugural company to conduct a CES press conference, or as the host referred to it, “a show,” at the Sphere in Las Vegas. You’ve probably heard about the advanced venue, which typically showcases immersive concerts instead of trade show gatherings. The “multi-sensory experience” features both interior and exterior surfaces adorned with LED displays and offering 4D effects like wind and scents. And Delta utilized all of those. Apple, Google, Sony, and the rest of you, it’s time to elevate your performance.

Got cash to spare?

While many of the most crucial announcements at CES won’t make their impact until later in 2025, there are a few impressive items you can already purchase. Such as Anker’s four-port charger, which can generate 140W and has its ports positioned on the top/bottom, reducing the likelihood of it coming loose from your power outlet. Segway’s inaugural offerings are also up for pre-order if you’re feeling extravagant, although specific pricing details remain undisclosed.

The latest Freewrite boasts some eccentric attributes and a vivid red joystick.

Astrohaus has been developing its “distraction-free writing tools” under the Freewrite brand for nearly a decade. Until this point, they were stand-alone single-function gadgets designed solely for composing text, but the Freewrite Wordrunner is a keyboard crafted specifically for writers. The function row has been substituted by a customized set of keys, which includes find and replace, undo and redo, paragraph up and down, as well as back, forward, and reload buttons. The device will debut with early-bird pricing on Kickstarter in February, but the cost remains unknown.
