Voice Your Opinions: Transforming Local Pharmacies in Coventry Together!

The survey remains accessible until 31 January and is being carried out by Coventry City Council and Warwickshire County Council on behalf of their Health & Wellbeing Boards.

The survey outcomes will aid in shaping the future of local pharmacy services and developing the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA).

Councillor Kamran Caan, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Sport at Coventry City Council, stated: “Pharmacies serve a vital role in local communities, and it is essential for individuals to voice their opinions to help us ascertain whether current services continue to meet residents’ needs.

“This will also assist us in identifying areas where pharmacies are excelling and pinpoint any possible service delivery gaps that require enhancements, enabling the Council, NHS partners, and other health services to guarantee everyone has access to the highest quality services.”

The PNA contributes to decision-making regarding future modifications to pharmaceutical services throughout Coventry and Warwickshire. The survey findings will additionally support the commissioning of NHS-funded services that local community pharmacies can provide. Local authorities and the Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) will also utilize the PNA when commissioning services to address local health demands and priorities.

Input from residents will facilitate the development of a preliminary Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment, which will then be accessible for public consultation in Spring 2025.
