ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) – On Thursday in Ardmore, children fully relished their day off in the snow.
“I’ve been throwing snowballs at my buddies, building snowmen, and sledding,” remarked Cooper Richardson.
In the early hours of Thursday, Dornick Hills was filled with children experiencing great joy.
“I’m just glad I’m out of school,” stated Tiller Cockrell.
His preference was to conquer the slopes with his sled.
“It’s steep and bumpy,” commented Kennedy Elkins.
“It’s like fun steep, not frightening steep,” said Sloan Treanor.
“At least four times I toppled over and landed face-first in the snow,” shared Tindal Wright.
“Every time you go sledding down the hill, it hits your face and makes it really cold,” Libby Fagg noted.
Others were busy constructing snowmen.
“I had a container, filled it with snow, flipped it over, and attempted to create a snowman, but it didn’t quite work out,” explained Ellie Veazey.
And this snowy delight wasn’t limited to just children; some adults also joined in the merriment.
Visiting from Florida, Bryce Brown and Claire Stroud were enjoying the winter wonderland with Camille Dowdy.
It was Brown’s inaugural experience with snow, and naturally, they had to build a snowman, which proved trickier than anticipated due to the light, powdery snow.
“It’s the most enchanting thing ever,” Brown stated. “Absolutely.”
Numerous people were outside savoring the season’s first snowfall.
