Dive into the Darkness: “Claws of Awaji” Expansion Offers Over 10 Hours of Thrilling New Gameplay in Assassin’s Creed Shadows!

Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ premier expansion ‘Claws of Awaji’ has been disclosed to offer over 10 hours of supplemental content.

The fresh details originate from the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Steam page, which received an update following the recent postponement of the game.

The updated description states, “Pre-order now to receive a bonus mission and the upcoming Claws of Awaji expansion. Explore a new region, access over 10 hours of additional gameplay, and acquire a new weapon type, along with new skills, equipment, and abilities.”

Alongside Claws of Awaji, Insider Gaming also reported exclusively in October 2024 that Ubisoft intends to introduce a co-op mode for Shadows, currently under the codename ‘League’.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is now scheduled for release on March 20, 2025, following a statement from Marc-Alexis Côté indicating that the game requires a few more weeks to make adjustments based on feedback.

In discussions with sources, Côté’s disclosures reflect internal handling, with team members mentioning that the delay aims to guarantee the game is thoroughly refined.

Last year, Assassin’s Creed Shadows experienced its first postponement to February 14, 2025, as it was revealed that additional polishing was needed, with behind-the-scenes sources also indicating that the team required extra time to enhance the game’s authenticity in alignment with its setting.

As for the media previews originally scheduled for next week, those will still proceed as planned, although the timeline for lifting the embargo remains uncertain.
