“J&J Clinches Deal: Acquires Leisure Gaming’s 10 Prized Nevada Gaming Locations”

J&J Gaming has declared that its subsidiary, Golden Route Operations, has concluded the acquisition of Leisure Gaming, a Nevada-based operator managing 10 unrestricted casinos, primarily situated at truck stop venues.

This finalized acquisition came after receiving authorization in November from the Nevada Gaming Commission.

As a national leader in the installation and management of regulated gaming devices in restaurants, bars, taverns, convenience stores, truck stops, and other licensed establishments, J&J Gaming stated that the inclusion of Leisure Gaming, which operates in both Montana and Nevada, will create a platform boasting over 11,000 gaming terminals.

On a national scale, J&J Gaming and its subsidiaries deliver gaming services to 3,600 locations across various regulated jurisdictions. It is headquartered in Illinois and is primarily owned by funds overseen by Oaktree Capital Management, based in southern California.

In September 2023, J&J Gaming attained Golden Route Operations Montana’s distributed gaming enterprise.
Oaktree is the proprietor of the Casablanca Resort and Virgin River Hotel & Casino in Mesquite. Last November, the Commission authorized the transfer of the two Mesquite casinos from gaming legacy families to the private equity firm based in Los Angeles.

Oaktree has already reinvested millions into both establishments, including $6 million specifically for new slot machines and renovating the Casablanca gaming floor, which entailed converting an unused movie theater into a sportsbook.
