LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas swimming and diving squad returns to competition following a 35-day hiatus and will challenge Houston on Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center. The event in Houston is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT.

“We are eager to kick off the new year down south,” remarked Kansas head coach Clark Campbell. “Houston is among the leading teams in the conference, and this offers a fantastic chance to elevate our performance.”

The Jayhawks and Houston have faced each other twice historically, with Kansas holding a 2-0 advantage in the series. Kansas has a record of 2-2 in dual meets so far this season and is preparing for the first of their two remaining Big 12 contests.

To conclude 2024, junior diver Lize van Leeuwen and freshman Anna Gearhart received Big 12 weekly accolades on Dec. 11. Van Leeuwen was named the Big 12 Women’s Diver of the Week, while Gearhart was honored as the Big 12 Women’s Newcomer of the Week.
