Although I am not a League of Legends enthusiast, I am relishing Arcane. This is only partially why this gaming PC showcased at Hyte’s CES 2025 exhibit receives my award for best gaming PC of the event (an accolade I just invented).
“Jinx was here!” is inscribed on the front of this PC’s casing, yet it’s what is concealed beneath that has me completely enamored. It’s a Bitspower X Hyte Distroplate designed for the Hyte Y70 chassis, and it’s truly impressive.
For those unfamiliar with custom water cooling systems, a distro plate comprises several channels that twist and turn to circulate the coolant within a tailored loop. It can serve as a reservoir for the system, negating the need for an additional one elsewhere, and can also assist in directing tubing without needing more complex bends.
A distro can additionally incorporate two separate liquid loops, permitting the cooling of distinct components with individual loops, as this one does.
You can observe that the upper blue channel is keeping the Ryzen 5 7600X cool, while the lower pink channel connects to the RTX 4080 Super featured in this configuration. It’s all Bitspower gear, and admittedly a bit excessive on the CPU side for that choice of processor. However, I appreciate it mainly for its aesthetic and cooling capability, rather than the specific specifications.
The Bitspower X Hyte Distroplate is not entirely ready for launch yet. It’s getting there, and Hyte presented a couple of builds at its CES 2025 booth featuring one installed.
I came across another candidate for my fictional accolade over at the Pro Gamers Group booth (Ducky, Havn, Noblechairs proprietor). A second-place contender. It’s a Duck-themed setup, featuring ducks all over, and it’s quacking. Crackling. My apologies. It also boasts liquid cooling, with a green reservoir accompanied by several screens, one displaying ‘Quack Hunt’, paying homage to the classic game Duck Hunt.
