WEST MICHIGAN — Following an unusually mild period this past December, winter weather has returned with full vigor in West Michigan, creating excellent conditions for various seasonal activities and events throughout our state.

Winter Celebrations
Our state takes great pleasure in celebrating the winter season. Here are a few events My Michigan Beach recommends exploring:

– Pure Ludington Brewsfest: January 25 in Ludington

– Tip Up Town USA: January 16-19, 25 & 26 in Houghton Lake

– Grand Haven Winterfest: January 23-26 in Grand Haven

– Zehnder’s Snowfest: January 29-February 2 in Frankenmuth

Learn to Ski
Michigan boasts over 40 ski areas. If you’re interested in learning to ski, My Michigan Beach suggests several options available.

This January, you can take part in GoSkiMichigan’s Michigan Skiing Month initiative. Ski locations statewide are providing an affordable introduction to skiing (beginning at just 60$ per beginner session). For additional details, click here.

Warm Up to Michigan Sweepstakes
From January 11 through 18, My Michigan Beach will be hosting the ‘Warm Up to Michigan’ sweepstakes. Two winners will receive passes to their choice of 20 premier ski resorts in Michigan.
