SELINSGROVE, PA – Susquehanna men’s swimming and diving achieved numerous excellent performances and victories on Saturday while hosting Moravian and Goucher in a Landmark Conference tri-match at their Garrett Natatorium. 

The River Hawks secured two of the top three positions in the 200 yard medley relay. Kaden TenEyck, Keegan Pence, Joey Wayne, and Brandon Sutherland narrowly surpassed their teammates to take the first place in this event, clocking in at 1:45.21. Following closely in second place were Dan Venuti, Akira Black, Eskander Bierman, and Bryson Wood with a finish of 1:49.94. The 200 yard freestyle was also successful for the River Hawks as David Gentile earned first place with a time of 1:55.02. His teammate Dan Venuti followed with a time of 1:58.05. Susquehanna dominated the 1000 yard freestyle as Harrison Ziegler completed the event in 11:10.10, followed by Kenny Smith who finished with a time of 12:12.16. 

The River Hawks maintained their impressive performance in the 50 yard freestyle, sweeping the top three spots of the event. Kaden TenEyck achieved first place with a remarkable time of 22.28, closely trailed by Eskander Bierman at 23.30. Completing the top three was Akira Black with a time of 23.78. In the 200 yard IM, Brandon Sutherland took the top spot with a time of 2:18.19. Dan Venuti secured first place in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 55.98. 

The 100 yard freestyle event saw three River Hawks dominate the leaderboard. David Gentile finished with a time of 50.68, earning him the first position. Close behind was Keegan Pace, who clocked in at 52.11, while Kenny Smith rounded off the top three with a time of 54.39. The River Hawks’ dominance continued in the 100 yard backstroke, where Brandon Sutherland clinched first place with a time of 1:01.73. In the 500 yard freestyle, Joey Wayne took second place with a time of 5:35.39, finishing just behind Harrison Ziegler from Moravian University, who posted a time of 5:25.59. The 100 yard breaststroke saw the River Hawks bounce back into first positions, with Akira Black winning the event at 1:04.34. Concluding the events was the 200 yard freestyle relay, where Susquehanna claimed first place. Joey Wayne, Keegan Pence, Bryson Wood, and David Gentile achieved first place with a total time of 1:36.07.    

Following their commanding Landmark performance against Goucher College and Moravian University, the River Hawks will return to action on Saturday, January 18, as they face off against Landmark rival, University of Scranton.
