Ohio’s Diver’s Showcase Wraps Up the 2025 UB Dive Invitational

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Ohio diving squad was back in action this past weekend at the 2025 UB Diving Invite hosted by Buffalo inside the Alumni Arena Natatorium. 

 

During the 3m-dive event on Friday, sophomore Astrid Pichardo (Guanajuato, Mexico) secured fifth place with a score of 277.20. 

 

Earlier that day in the preliminaries, Pichardo achieved sixth with a score of 254.10, while sophomore Stephanie Balthaser (Delaware, Ohio) earned 15^th (223.45) and freshman Annie Haluch (Hudson, Ohio) came in 16^th with a score of 221.95. Freshman Camryn Quiggins (Franklin, Ind.) ranked 20^th (209.25), with sophomore Savanna Bos (Cincinnati, Ohio) at 22^nd (200.75) and senior Sophie Cooper (Milford, Ohio) placing 24^th with a score of 194.75. 

 

On Saturday in the 1-meter dive, Pichardo finished 10^th in the preliminaries with a score of 225.80. In the meantime, Quiggins (211.85) took 17^th, Balthaser (206.40) was 18^th, and Cooper (203.10) concluded in 19^th. Bos finished her day in 21^st place with a score of 198.85, while Haluch ended up in 31^st with a score of 155.85. 

 

The dive team concluded the weekend on Sunday with platform diving, where Bos achieved eighth overall in this event, scoring 154.60. 

 

Looking ahead, the full Ohio swim and dive team will return to competition on Saturday, Jan. 25, as they travel to Huntington, W. Va. to face off against Marshall. The meet is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
