WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – After more than a month since their previous meet, a mere 26 points determined the outcome between the Keene State College women’s swimming and diving squad and Eastern Connecticut State University, with the Owls emerging victorious with a score of 144-118. Conversely, the KSC men’s team was defeated by ECSU, 178-83 on the day.
 
On the women’s front, KSC triumphed in seven events, with Rory Lee spearheading the way with three first-place finishes. Lee secured two individual victories, claiming the 200-yard freestyle (2:07.93) and the 500 free (5:50.51), in addition to leading the leg of KSC’s winning 400 free relay alongside Sammi Taylor, Kyleigh Dyer, and Tallulah Going (3:58.16). Going also earned a first-place finish in the 100 free (58.69) and came in second in the 50 free (26.95). KSC captured both first and second in the 1,000 free, with Hannah Reddick finishing first at 12:12.17 and Emily Stokel following second with a time of 12:15.39. Similar to the 1,000 free, the Owls also achieved the top two positions in the 200 breaststroke, with Amanda Davies finishing first at 2:47.11 and Mia Destefani placing second at 2:49.14. In addition to their earlier victories, Davies and Taylor contributed further points for KSC with second-place finishes in other events; Davies clocked a time of 1:17.77 in the 100 breast, and Taylor finished the 500 free in 5:56.60. The final top finish on the women’s side was secured by Adessa Noyes, winning the 100 fly with a time of 1:06.11. London Armitage also added critical points for the Owls, placing second in both her events, finishing the 100 back (1:08.64) and the 200 back (2:29.14). Olivia Boulris completed the top two finishes for the Owls with a second place in the 200 IM (2:30.86).
 
Aaron Turgeon led the Owls, achieving two of the team’s three first-place finishes for the day. Turgeon won both the 200 free (1:50.55) and 200 IM (2:04.90) for the Owls, while Alec Agosto secured the other first-place victory in the 1,000 free (11:13.46). Evan Keefe had two top finishes, earning second in the 100 back (1:04.66) and 200 back (2:24.26). Leo Lauridsen and Zachary Perry contributed to the Owls’ top two placements, with Lauridsen completing the 200 fly in 2:12.35 and Perry finishing the 100 fly in 59.21.
 
The Owls will next compete at home on Saturday, January 18, at 1:00 PM in a tri-meet against both Bridgewater State University and Brandeis University.
