“Thrill Gone Wrong: Man Caught in High-Speed Pursuit Arrested by Police”

OREM, Utah — A man from Texas was apprehended following a high-speed pursuit on Sunday morning, as stated by the Utah County Sheriffs, who reported he was ‘having fun.’

The booking affidavit mentions that the inquiry commenced after UCS was informed that Salt Lake County Troopers were chasing a silver Honda CRV bearing Texas plates on Interstate 15.

A deputy noted that they observed a vehicle fitting the description tailgating the car ahead. The deputy managed to catch up to the car and verified the license plate number with dispatch, according to UCS.

The deputy attempted to execute a traffic stop near Mile Marker 278 but the driver fled, accelerating to speeds of up to 110 mph.

The driver exited Interstate 15 at Orem Center Street and was subsequently located at a 7-Eleven gas station on 1200 W., as per the affidavit.

Deputies reported that the driver was identified as 25-year-old Tyler James Flynn after he was instructed by deputies to exit the vehicle.

Following the administration of his MIRANDA rights, deputies stated Flynn expressed that he was driving from San Francisco to New York while making odd remarks such as saying he was ‘having fun’ during the episode.

The affidavit indicated that Flynn was charged with reckless driving and failure to comply with law enforcement.
