The Colorado College women’s swimming and diving squad concluded its home dual meet series on Saturday with an outstanding 167-62 triumph over Division II CSU-Pueblo at Schlessman Natatorium.

The Tigers commenced the meet by securing first and second positions in the 200 medley relay, and then Kylie Spalt and Aspen Fisher initiated the individual events with a 1-2 finish in the 1000 freestyle.

Megan Simonson, who anchored the 200 medley relay squad, guided the Tiger sprinters to a 1-2-3 sweep in the 50 freestyle.

Alyssa Tunggal, another member of the 200 medley group, achieved the fastest time in the 100 butterfly, while Abby Romisher did the same in the 500 freestyle.

Julia Cox led a 1-2-3 finish in the 100 freestyle, trailed by Adeline Turner and Grace Ersfeld-O’Brien, while Isabella Cole, Malia Hewitt, and Riley Romisher secured the top three positions in the 100 breaststroke.

CC concluded the meet with a 1-2 finish in the 800 freestyle relay.

“It has been a remarkable week of training and competition for our squad,” head coach Jen Buffin expressed. “We came to compete and they displayed perseverance to achieve a fantastic team victory. I am thrilled with their performance at this stage of the season and eager to see what they will accomplish next weekend at the CC Classic.”

In diving, Emma Krasemann shattered her own 11-dive 1-meter school and pool record with 498.98 points, while Keller Pooley achieved an NCAA regional qualifying score with 476.78 points.

“Our divers were thrilled to return to our home pool after a week of hard training in San Diego,” diving coach Ellen Walker stated. “Emma and Keller exhibited exceptional teamwork and delivered an exhilarating performance today. Their efforts set a great standard, contributing to the momentum as we advance into the CC Classic next weekend.”

The Tigers will be back in action this weekend, hosting the CC Classic from Jan. 17-19 at Schlessman Natatorium.
