HONOLULU – The Texas A&M women’s tennis squad concluded the Weinman Foundation Invitational by achieving three doubles wins, raising their overall stats to 28-7 at the UH Tennis Complex this week.

“We are extremely pleased with how our experience went here in Hawaii,” head coach Mark Weaver stated. “We managed to have numerous productive practices and, most importantly, we played a significant number of matches, which will provide us with an excellent head start for the season.”

All American Nicole Khirin and freshman Lexington Reed secured two victories throughout the day, earning their initial win against Hawaii’s Peppi Ramstedt/Sheena Masuda with a score of 7-5. The duo then took on Hawaii’s Ana Vilcek/Nikola Homolkova, defeating them 6-2. Lucianna Perez/Daria Smetannikov clinched the final triumph of the tournament for the Aggies after overcoming Hawaii’s Joelle Lanz/Emma Forgac, 7-6(7).

The Maroon & White only surrendered one game in singles competition, achieving a record of 19-1. Khirin and Kupres each notched their first ranked singles victories of the 2025 season and completed an impeccable 3-0 record for the week alongside Perez, Reed, Smetannikov, and Mireles. In doubles, A&M compiled a record of 9-6, with the pairings of Perez/Reed and Khirin/Reed both finishing at 2-0 during the tournament.

The Maroon & White are set to host their first dual match of the season on Saturday, Jan. 18 against Prairie View A&M at 1 p.m. at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
