Badgers Make Waves at Utah Diving Extravaganza

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jan Lanser, Jaden Eikermann, Greta Kavanagh, and Ryane Neal from the Wisconsin swim and dive squads made it to the finals over the weekend at the Utah Diving Invite.

In the 1m event, Ryane Neal recorded a score of 229.60 during the preliminaries to qualify for the finals on Friday evening. Neal secured fifth place in the finals with a score of 252.70. In the men’s 1m event, Jan Lanser finished fifth in the prelims with a score of 284.93, while Jaden Eikermann followed closely in sixth with a score of 275.03, both making it to the finals. Lanser ended up fourth in the finals with 304.80 points, and Eikermann took seventh with 285.50 points.

In the 3m event, Ryane Neal led the Badgers with a sixth place finish, scoring 252.98 points, while Greta Kavanagh was close behind, placing seventh with 248.10 points. Molly Hampton and Vivian Kinnard also participated in the 3m with scores of 241.50 and 205.13, respectively. In the finals, Ryane Neal enhanced her score to 277.90, securing a seventh place finish, whereas Greta Kavanagh ended in eighth with 242.15 points.

The weekend concluded for the Badgers with the men’s 3m event, where Jaden Eikermann achieved second place in prelims with a score of 359.80 and Jan Lanser finished sixth with 312.20 points. In the finals, Eikermann placed fourth with a score of 312.85, while Lanser ended in seventh with 292.90 points.

The Badgers are set to compete again this Saturday for Senior Day against Northwestern. The meet is scheduled to commence at 12 p.m. CST.
