Drexel Dominates Rochester with an Impressive 9-0 Victory!

PHILADELPHIA – The  Drexel men’s squash team triumphed over Rochester, 9-0, enhancing their record to 5-3 for the season.

Haris Qasim was awarded a victory by default against Yash Fadte. Guido Lindner fought through a five-game match to conquer Omar Zakaria 3-2 (10-12, 11-4, 11-7, 7-11, 11-3). Youssef Bastawy also displayed an impressive performance, clinching a 3-1 win against Dhirren Rajarathinam (11-8, 8-11, 11-8, 11-9).

Victories in straight sets were achieved by Yuri Pelbart, Fritiof Jacobsson, and Sean Murphy, each expertly managing their matches from beginning to end. Charlie Taylor excelled in his 3-0 victory over Jacob Koeppel (14-12, 11-3, 11-4). Dimi Dumitru contributed another win, overcoming Arnav Mandhana in four games (11-4, 9-11, 11-4, 11-3). Tavneet Mundra and Darien Benn sealed the sweep with assertive 3-0 wins.

Drexel faces a quick turnaround as they prepare to compete against Cornell on Wednesday. The match is scheduled for 4:00pm.
