“Making Waves: A Fresh Swimming School Makes Splashes in Grand Rapids!”

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A prominent organization specializing in aquatic safety and swimming instruction for infants and children has inaugurated its latest facility in Grand Rapids.

Goldfish Swim School has officially opened at 2224 E. Beltline Ave. NE, providing lessons for children ranging from four months to 12 years old, complementing the existing Cascade and Grandville sites in the vicinity.

The new tropical-inspired establishment is set to celebrate its grand opening at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, welcoming families. Notable amenities include a climate-controlled viewing area for parents to observe lessons, a snack bar, and a retail shop.

Michigan natives and Goldfish creators Chris, Jenny, and Andrew McCuiston are passionate about broadening the brand’s presence in the community, ensuring all families have access to superior swimming education and can experience the “Goldfish Difference.”

“We are excited to launch our team’s second facility in Grand Rapids, a vibrant market for our organization and for enthusiastic swimmers,” remarked Chris McCuiston. “We recognize the significance of aquatic safety and swimming education and look forward to contributing another location in Grand Rapids, acting as a valuable resource for community learning and enjoyment.”

Per the World Health Organization’s report in December 2024 concerning drowning prevention, if current patterns persist, more than 7.2 million individuals could succumb to drowning by 2050.

Goldfish Swim School is devoted to enhancing awareness of these alarming statistics and collaborating with the community to educate children on vital aquatic safety skills to ensure their safety in and around water.

This is why the new Grand Rapids establishment offers year-round indoor swimming instruction in a secure and interactive environment with lifeguard-certified staff, small class sizes, and adaptable class options within a climate-controlled indoor facility.

The school operates on a continuous lesson schedule providing open enrollment, convenient scheduling alternatives, and free makeup classes available year-round.

Furthermore, members can enjoy amenities such as birthday celebrations, private changing areas, showers, drying stations, and complimentary open swims.

Swimming lessons commence at $28 per class. Participants can RSVP for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, free family swim, and other entertaining activities online.
