Aggie Spirit: The Heartbeat of Texas A&M Athletics

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M baseball squad achieved its second preseason No. 1 ranking on Monday morning as D1Baseball.com revealed its preseason Top 25 poll.


This signifies the inaugural occasion in the 11-year existence of the poll that the Aggies have seized the No. 1 position during the preseason. With this ranking, the Maroon & White have now entered the Top 10 in the D1Baseball Preseason Poll for three successive years. Texas A&M stands as one of six SEC institutions within the Top 10, which dominates all conferences.


The Aggies are arriving off a remarkable journey in 2024 that witnessed them reach the College World Series Finals for the first time in program history. The journey to Omaha marked the Maroon & White’s second in the last three seasons and eighth overall. Texas A&M is commencing its first season under head coach Michael Earley, who played a crucial role in transforming the Aggies into one of the most formidable and effective offenses in the nation during his tenure as an assistant over the past three seasons.


Texas A&M launches its 2025 schedule on Friday, Feb. 14 against Elon at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
