Become a Nutty Nomad: Earn $45,000 a Year Driving the NUTmobile with Perks Galore!

• Planters is seeking drivers for its NUTmobile. You have until Feb. 14 to submit your application, with an annual salary of $45,000, plus perks.

If your aspirations of operating the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile seem to be unrealistic, you now have an opportunity to drive yet another oversized food item across the country.

Planters is in search of three additional drivers for its Peanutter team, who will be tasked with maneuvering a 26-foot-long peanut on highways nationwide. Applications are being accepted until Feb. 14.

To note, the NUTmobile is slightly shorter than the Weinermobile by a foot, but the compensation for this position is $10,000 more. Planters will provide a salary of $45,000 for the role, which spans from June 2025 to June 2026. Additionally, you will receive travel costs, meal allowances, and health insurance (including dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage.) A 401(k) plan with corporate matching will also be available.

To join the fourth cohort of Peanutters, you will need a college degree, preferably within communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, or a related field, along with a valid driver’s license. As a member of the Peanutter team, you will serve as a corporate representative at parades, community gatherings, and grand openings nationwide, promoting the company’s product. (We know that wasn’t a stellar joke, but one of the job prerequisites is “a talent for nut-related puns,” so we’re trying to spark your creativity.)

This position entails some genuine responsibilities. Although the corporate communications team will arrange drivers for significant occasions, drivers will be tasked with planning events and routes around those larger tasks independently, as well as engaging local media (radio, television, and digital outlets) to inform the community about the NUTmobile’s arrival.

You may also be required to wear a costume and perform in a character role, as mentioned in the responsibilities. And really, how many other positions allow you to dress up as a giant peanut?
