Drew Lucas Shines on AE Preseason All-Conference Stage as Men’s Lacrosse Secures Third in Coaches Poll!

BOSTON- Senior defenseman of Bryant University Men’s Lacrosse, Drew Lucas, has been honored with a selection to the America East Preseason All-Conference Team, as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon. 

Lucas had an outstanding campaign in 2024 for the Black and Gold, accumulating 42 ground balls and forcing 26 turnovers. He also exhibited offensive skills towards the end of the season, recording assists in consecutive games against Binghamton and Brown, in addition to netting a goal versus Brown, aiding the Bulldogs in securing their 7th Ocean State Cup. Lucas received First Team All-Conference recognition from America East and was chosen as a Second Team member by NEILA.

Furthermore, the America East revealed that the Bryant Men’s Lacrosse team has been ranked third in the yearly Preseason Coaches Poll.

UAlbany claimed the foremost position in the poll, securing six out of the seven available first-place votes. Vermont was rated second, while Bryant came in third with one first-place vote. The poll was concluded with UMBC, Binghamton, NJIT, and UMass Lowell.

In the previous season, the Bulldogs performed with a 4-3 record in conference matches and an overall record of 9-5.

 

The 2025 season for Bryant will commence against Providence on February 8th.
