Huskies Wrap Up Epic Michigan Road Adventure

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Washington women’s basketball squad (12-5, 3-2 Big Ten) concludes its two-game conference journey with a visit to Ann Arbor on Wednesday, challenging Michigan at 4 p.m. PT at the Crisler Center.

This marks the seventh overall encounter between these two teams and just the second meeting in two decades.

LAST TIME OUT

Sayvia Sellers achieved her sixth 20-point performance of the season against then-No. 20 Michigan State, concluding the game with a top score of 21 points, alongside two assists, three steals, and one block.

Elle Ladine contributed 17 points for the Huskies, marking her 13th game this season scoring in double digits, which includes her 800th career point.

Stines added 11 points, four rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

The Huskies recorded a total of 16 assists on their 22 made field goals.

SCOUTING REPORT

For the initial time in six weeks, the Wolverines have dropped out of the AP Top-25 and enter week 11 unranked.

UW and Michigan are equal at 3-3 in their all-time series, with their last matchup occurring in 2018. The other five contests between them took place before 2005.

The Wolverines are directed by 13^th year head coach Kim Barnes Arico, who holds the title of the most successful coach in program history. She guided the Wolverines through a 20-14 season in 2023-24, which included a trip to the Big Ten Tournament semifinals where Michigan lost 95-68 to the eventual NCAA runners-up, Iowa Hawkeyes.

Michigan has a record of 11-5 to begin the 2024-25 season, holding a 2-3 record in Big Ten matches, with victories over Purdue and Northwestern.
