Pacaso Gives Back: Complimentary Retreats for Los Angeles Wildfire Survivors

The vacation property firm Pacaso has initiated a program that assists homeowners in donating stays to individuals affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles. Here’s how it operates: Homeowners who list their properties on Pacaso may offer vacation homes, and Pacaso facilitates the arrangements with those in need to arrange the stays. Individuals who have lost their residences in Los Angeles or are currently in a designated evacuation area are encouraged to contact donations@pacaso.com.

One significant point to note, as stated by a brand representative: “The majority of the available donated listings are situated out-of-state or far from L.A. County, but we do provide donated stays in locations such as Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, San Diego, and Lake Tahoe.”

Homeowners are not only providing stays, but Pacaso “is handling all associated fees linked with these short-term accommodations,” as confirmed by a brand spokesperson, to guarantee that victims incur minimal to no out-of-pocket expenses. Each residence is equipped with necessities like toiletries, toilet paper, and filtered water.

“We are stepping in to provide temporary lodging to as many individuals as possible who were displaced by these fires,” stated Austin Allison, Pacaso’s CEO, in a LinkedIn post last Friday that urged those in need to reach out immediately via email. “I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our homeowners who have made their properties available.”
