He previously operated Valley Proteins, Inc., which was the second largest independent rendering business in the U.S., and held the presidency of the Upperville Colt and Horse Show, where he introduced the 4 Star FEI classes and the Hunter Derby. Additionally, he is a trustee for the United States Equestrian Teams (USET) Foundation.
