COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 9/8 Ohio State women’s basketball squad (16-0, 5-0 B1G) is headed to Madison on Thursday evening to compete against Wisconsin (10-7, 1-5 B1G). The contest will be aired on Peacock and AM1460, with the tip-off anticipated at 9 p.m. ET.

• Ohio State fended off a late surge from Oregon to secure a 69-60 triumph on Sunday afternoon in the teams’ inaugural matchup in Columbus. The Buckeyes executed a 27-0 run during the second quarter to recover from a sluggish start and establish a lead.
• Taylor Thierry achieved a season-high 20 points, leading the game, while Jaloni Cambridge and Ajae Petty also contributed in double digits with 13 points each. Petty registered a season-best 14 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season. Thierry surpassed 600 career rebounds.
• Cambridge earned the title of Big Ten Freshman of the Week and was included on the Big Ten Honor Roll on Monday.
• Wisconsin enters the matchup with a record of 10-7 and stands at 1-5 in Big Ten play this season. The Badgers’ lone conference victory came against Rutgers on Dec. 8. Since then, Wisconsin has suffered defeats against Indiana, Minnesota, Oregon, Washington, and No. 8 Maryland.
• Serah Williams spearheads the Wisconsin offense, ranking fifth in the Big Ten with an average of 18.5 points per game. She is also tied for the conference lead with 11.2 rebounds per game and leads the B1G with 2.8 blocks per game.
• Ohio State leads the all-time series against Wisconsin 55-18 and has a 19-12 edge when playing against the Badgers in Madison. The most recent encounter in Wisconsin resulted in a 90-67 victory for OSU on Feb. 1, 2023.
• In the previous season, Ohio State utilized a dominant third quarter to achieve an 87-49 win. The Buckeyes held a five-point lead at halftime before scoring a program-record 39 points in the third quarter. The OSU defense recorded 13 steals and forced 27 turnovers by Wisconsin.
