Grinter added a pair of second-place finishes in the 50 free (24.57) and 100 fly (1:00.56), while also achieving third in the 100 free (54.52).

TOP CONFERENCE TIMES: Olivia Viele’s time of 56.39 in the 100 fly ranks seventh in the Summit League this season.

SENIOR DAY: Friday’s home event will also serve as a Senior Day celebration, recognizing a total of 10 Panthers.

NEXT UP: Eastern is scheduled to travel to Evansville over the next two weekends. The Panthers will face Southern Indiana in a Summit League matchup on Saturday, January 25th at 1 p.m., followed by participation in the Evansville Invite the subsequent Friday, January 31st.

HEAD COACH: Scott Teeters is in his inaugural season as the head swimming coach for Eastern Illinois. Teeters brings nearly 40 years of coaching experience, including 25 at the collegiate level. He has guided Division I programs at Eastern Michigan, Oakland, and Gardner Webb, and served as head coach at Olivet Nazarene University, leading his teams to three national championships, including consecutive men’s titles in 2016 and 2017, as well as a women’s championship in 2017. Teeters has also held various leadership positions within USA Swimming.
