Elgin Vineyard’s Spectacular Family Fest: A Celebration of Friends and Fun!

The Vineyard Church of Elgin is welcoming families to “Friend-Fest 2025” on Saturday, Jan. 18.

For children who enjoy fun, food, and gaming, Vineyard Church of Elgin is organizing Friend-Fest 2025 on Saturday, Jan. 18. Families with children up to fifth grade can partake in the complimentary activities and refreshments.

“Friend-Fest is an amazing occasion for the community that is enjoyable and secure for children,” stated Molly Ackerman, director of worship and children’s ministry at Elgin Vineyard. “In times when costs are high and life appears overwhelming, Friend-Fest provides a space where parents can put aside their concerns and revel in joyful moments playing carnival-themed games with their kids.

“We will have a plethora of games for everyone, alongside complimentary hot dogs, popcorn, and beverages,” Ackerman remarked. “Families definitely won’t want to miss out on this chance!”

All the excitement will be held downstairs in the community room, with a “Calm Room” featuring relaxing activities for children who prefer a quieter environment.

Friend-Fest will be accessible to the public from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church, located at 220 Division St. in downtown Elgin.

This Sunday morning, Pastor Tom Severson will be continuing his new sermon series titled, “Covenant.” The service is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Arrive early at 9:30 a.m. to savor complimentary coffee or tea from a diverse selection at the coffee bar downstairs.
