Community, sports, and volunteer organizations throughout Inverclyde are now eligible to seek financial support from the council.

Currently, applications are being accepted for the second phase of the Community Grants Fund, with £6,000 still available.

Groups are required to fulfill the eligibility requirements to apply and must illustrate how the funding would aid and enhance the broader community according to local priorities of: empowered individuals; working individuals; healthy individuals and environments; a supportive environment; and a flourishing environment.

During Round 1, the committee endorsed awards totaling £252,000, benefiting 100 groups.

As there is £6,000 left for Round 2, preference will be given to organizations that did not apply for funding in the earlier round to guarantee that support in this fiscal year is extended to as many applicants as possible throughout Inverclyde.

Organizations can seek funding of up to £10,000 to assist their efforts in supporting individuals in the communities of Inverclyde.

Applications submitted by 12noon on Monday, January 20 will be evaluated by the grants sub-committee during its meeting in March 2025.

The Community Grants Fund encompasses the Grants to Voluntary Organisations (GTVO), Under-19s Sports, and Community Hall Waivers funds.
