In Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, players assume the roles of survivors from a crashed spaceship who are exploring an untamed world, hoping to restore humanity from the brink of annihilation.
This science fiction role-playing game was initially launched for the Wii U console in 2015. The updated definitive version features improved visuals, additional story elements, new characters, and fresh Skell mechs. The game is set to launch on the Nintendo Switch console on 20 March 2025.
Taking place in the year 2054, after Earth was devastated by an intergalactic conflict between two alien species. The survivors of the USS White Whale spaceship crash must navigate the hazards of the planet Mira. As part of the BLADE organization within the New Los Angeles colony, they represent humanity’s last chance for survival.

Mira is a vast alien landscape teeming with extensive oceans, wide grassy plains, towering mountain ranges, and exotic jungles – each harboring unique secrets and threats. Explore the surface of this planet, observe ecosystems flourish, and confront a variety of enormous beasts that can be fought to obtain valuable resources.
After players have demonstrated their worthiness to BLADE, they can unlock their own Skell: a formidable exoskeleton that can fly, transform into a vehicle for rapid land travel, and exhibit immense strength in battle.
Players who acquire the digital edition of Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on the Nintendo eShop or My Nintendo Store before 6 April will receive the in-game Exploration Support Pack. Those who buy the physical or digital editions of the game from GameStop will obtain a code for the pack, which can be redeemed on the Nintendo eShop.
The Exploration Support Pack comprises the following bonus items: 100,000 credits, Advanced Iron Knife (melee weapon), Advanced Storm Assault Rifle (ranged weapon), Survival armor series, six weapon augments, and five armor augments.
