Our thoughts and prayers are with the numerous families who have been displaced or have lost their homes due to the catastrophic Southern California Wildfires. We have assembled a collection of resources on our website to assist families and businesses impacted by this calamity.

Information and Insights

• More than half of U.S. Hispanic adults (54%) obtain their news in English, surpassing those who prefer Spanish (21%).
• A survey by Pew Research Center indicated that one-quarter of Hispanic Americans (23%) express a preference for news in both languages equally.
• Approximately nine-in-ten (87%) report occasionally getting news from digital devices, with 65% favoring it over TV, radio, or print media.
• Half of U.S. Hispanic adults state they receive news at least sometimes from Hispanic news sources. This includes 21% who say they do this frequently.

Milestone
Congratulations to Moreno Valley District 1 Council Member Elena Baca-Santa Cruz for being appointed as the City’s next Mayor Pro Tem. A long-time supporter of Hispanic Lifestyle, Baca has a legacy of public service by taking on the Council position that her late mother, Mayor Pro Tem Victoria Baca, held for an extended period.
