In a realm where cameras have predominantly been shrinking, I’ve consistently been drawn to larger full-frame models, exemplified by my Nikon D800 and Nikon Z8. However, larger bodies combined with heavier lenses for expansive sensors result in a heftier equipment load, which can intensify a photographic issue I refer to as ‘ball-head creep’.

At best, it’s bothersome; at worst – particularly during long exposures – it can ruin your image.
For many years, I never contemplated utilizing one of the finest L-brackets.
