April Surprise: The Unveiling of Respawn Entertainment’s Ambitious Star Wars RTS Game!

A recent assertion indicates that Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars RTS Game is set to be unveiled between April 18-20.

This comes from an X (Previously Twitter) user @bogorad222, who mentioned that the public reveal along with the trailer will occur during the Star Wars Celebration in Japan, scheduled for April 18-20, 2025.

While primarily recognized for acquiring insights through LinkedIn inquiries, bogorad222 supplied Insider Gaming with adequate proof that the assertions were credible from one source.

Announced in January 2022, Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars RTS is being crafted in collaboration with Bit Reactor, where industry veteran Greg Foerstch is at the helm. Respawn will oversee the production of the new Star Wars strategy game, while Bit Reactor will direct the development of the project. 

“We are enormous admirers of Star Wars at Respawn, and we’re excited to collaborate with Lucasfilm Games on new projects we’ve long desired to create,” remarked Zampella. “If you aim to develop exceptional Star Wars games, come and join us on our adventure.” 

As of this writing, EA has yet to provide any further updates on the venture, indicating that an announcement or update may occur later this year.

In February 2024, EA terminated Respawn Entertainment’s first-person Mandalorian game, which would have allowed players to assume the role of a bounty hunter in a linear-level gameplay experience.
