Behind the Scenes: Jason Kelce Reveals Secrets to Balancing Travel Chaos with Kylie

Jason and Kylie Kelce are more active than ever.

As the duo anticipates the arrival of their fourth daughter, Jason, 37, is on the road each week as a commentator for Monday Night Countdown and has recently begun hosting his new ESPN program They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce since January 3, not to mention the numerous brand collaborations he frequently traverses the country to promote.

Kylie, 32, for her part, guest-starred on the new nighttime show and launched the inaugural episode of her podcast Not Gonna Lie on December 5 (receiving rave reviews and securing the top position on Apple and Spotify’s podcast charts).

Nevertheless, the occupied couple has managed to discover a way to balance their dynamic personal and work lives.

“We don’t travel as often with the girls,” Jason informs PEOPLE. “We alternate trips because we desire for them to travel and gain experiences. At the same time, they are quite young,” explains the former Philadelphia Eagle, pointing out that it’s difficult for Wyatt Elizabeth, 5, Elliotte Ray, 3, and Bennett Llewellyn, 22 months, to “truly appreciate it meaningfully.”

“We’ve visited Disney with them a few times, and they certainly enjoy that,” Jason adds. “When we’re together, we try to watch movies occasionally, which we know they love.”

The Monday Night Countdown commentator states he has “always been a huge cards enthusiast” and enjoys engaging in card games with his daughters.

“We enjoy ‘War’ and have just learned a game called ‘Trash,’ which they’re really into, along with ‘Go Fish.’ Currently, they’ve received numerous toys from Santa, so we’ve been inundated with that. So yeah, we just aim to play and have fun.”

The daughters of a retired NFL player and a former field hockey athlete, the Kelce girls are “maturing to the point where they are interested in sports now,” their father asserts. “So, they’re riding bicycles and practicing gymnastics,” he shares.

“I want to get them back on the ice this year because I enjoy ice skating. It would be fantastic to do some skating before this season ends, and I wish to introduce them to baseball this year.”

“Naturally, field hockey,” Jason adds.

“They already possess the small sticks. But yes, field hockey and lacrosse are two sports that I am passionate about, but they are not quite of age for that yet. However, we have the mini sticks and don’t play games with them.”
