CM Swimmers Dominate Lewisburg and Mifflinburg in Tri-Meet Showdown!

The swimming teams from Central Mountain achieved victories in a tri-meet on Thursday. In the ladies’ events, Central Mountain outperformed Lewisburg (109-51) and Mifflinburg (134-0). On the men’s side, Central Mountain triumphed over Lewisburg (103-54) and Mifflinburg (120-22).

In the girls’ swimming events, Central Mountain secured a win against Lewisburg, 109-51, and against Mifflinburg, 134-0. The Wildcats’ relay squad consisting of Camryn Bair, Anna Stahl, Gabriella Hosley, and Abrianna Hosley claimed victory in both the 200 medley and 200 free relays.

In the 400 free relay, Central Mountain’s Kaylie McCloskey, Erin Packer, Sloane Coakley, and Lily McWilliams emerged victorious.

Gabriella Hosley and Bair were both champions in two events for the Wildcats. Hosley clinched the 200 IM with a time of 2:24.64 and the 100 fly with a time of 1:06.09. Bair achieved wins in the 50 free at 25.42 and the 100 breast at 1:09.71.

Abrianna Hosley took the win in the 500 free with a time of 5:49.69.

In boys’ swimming, the team of Jonathan Hughes, Cory Matejovich, Neil Kaluzny, and Raiden Newcomer won both the 200 medley and 200 free relays, finishing the 200 medley relay in 1:51.67 and the 200 free relay in 1:42.43.

Newcomer won the 50 free with a recorded time of 25.56. Hughes also emerged victorious individually in the 100 free, with a time of 51.95.

This victory elevates the Wildcats to a record of 9-1 for both the girls’ and boys’ teams. Central Mountain will return to competition on Wednesday for a 5 p.m. dual at Lock Haven’s Zimmerli Natatorium against Milton.
