“Empowering Journeys: Penn State Global and Fox Graduate School Unveil Travel Grants for Graduate Students”

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The J. Jeffrey and Ann Marie Fox Graduate School at Penn State and Penn State Global declare that applications for international travel grants for graduate students for the spring 2025 semester are open until February 13. Students will be notified of a decision regarding their application by mid-March. Awards can be used for conferences occurring until February 2026.    

The application is available on Penn State’s Infoready site.

The aim of the graduate student international travel grant initiative is to support students in showcasing their scholarly work at conferences abroad. Graduate student travel grants are designed to bolster Penn State’s global prominence in scholarship and international involvement.

Graduate students from any Penn State campus, including World Campus, are eligible for these grants. International graduate students are highly encouraged to apply.

Awards depend on the availability of funds and the total number of applications received. Applicants are strongly urged to look for additional sources of funding, including matching funds from their campus, college, department, or external funding.

Applicants must be currently enrolled Penn State graduate students in good academic standing.

The application entails:

• A brief overview of the research and its significance
• A rationale for why it is essential for the applicant to present their work at the conference
• A letter of endorsement from someone acquainted with the student’s research
