The Swimming and Diving squads will be in Buffalo, N.Y. to face off against Battle of the Bridge competitor Niagara for their Senior Day at the Burt Flickinger Center in an exciting dual-meet that signals the end of the regular season.
Last season, the Golden Griffins welcomed the Purple Eagles on Jan. 20, where Niagara achieved victories on both the men’s and women’s fronts. The Griffs recorded a loss of 174-88 on the men’s side, while the women’s team fell with a score of 214-45.
LAST TIME OUT
The Griffs faced Le Moyne at the Burt Flickinger Center the previous weekend.
For the women, freshman Daphne Mead excelled by winning both of her individual events, taking first place in the 200 IM (2:10.67) and the 200 backstroke (2:10.12). Senior Ashley Allaire contributed by winning the 1000 freestyle (11:11.06), while sophomore Evie Leighton secured first in the 100 freestyle (55.40).
On the men’s side, freshman Finn Gilmartin finished in first place for the 1000 freestyle (10:28.06), and junior Sam Vidal claimed victory in the 200 freestyle (1:47.08).
