Listen, I fully embrace a bit of quirky design in the realm of PC cases. For many years, we were confined to beige boxes, many of which yellowed and became reminiscent of the interior of a heavy smoker’s thoracic cavity.

Yet, I’m not completely convinced I can support the look of the Montech Heritage PC case. It features diagonal cuts, which are quite stylish, and the front, back, and top sections possess numerous holes for airflow (according to Techpowerup). However, covering a PC case in leather? That feels like a reach, if you ask for my thoughts.

That’s merely my perspective, though. Our Jacob Fox has shown interest in one of these, so on the off chance he hasn’t perused the specifications sheet, this next portion is for him:

It accommodates a cooling radiator of up to 360 mm in a top-mounted position, or a 170 mm air cooler, alongside a maximum of eight fans. You can securely install (or perhaps, gently place) either a Micro ATX or Mini ITX motherboard, and even fit a GPU measuring up to 400 mm inside its surprisingly spacious-looking interior. In fact, remove those panels and it’s actually a rather attractive chassis.

But a leather grip? Diagonal leather-adorned outer panels? No, it leans a touch too much into the retro 60s/70s style for my liking. Nevertheless, some may find it amusing, presumably the same individuals who don thick gold necklaces to pubs and nostalgically reflect on the good old days whilst holding a large cigar.

Okay, I might be a bit harsh. Taste is highly subjective, and if you’re someone who longs for the days of pineapple and cheese on sticks at a cocktail gathering (it’s a British thing, check it out) then this PC case could be just right for you.

It’s actually quite reasonably priced at $89 for the standard version, available in black or white. Oh come on, it’s beginning to sway my opinion. There’s no indication if the leather is genuine or faux, so perhaps it’s not suitable for the vegans present either.

However, if you too envision being an advertising executive from a past generation with a taste for the finer aspects of life, it’s likely worth a glimpse. Gosh, I’m being sharp today. Time to put on some Barry White and gaze into the distance.
