Staten Island, NY –  The Wagner Seahawks are set to compete against Mercyhurst on January 18 at 1 PM at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center situated in Erie, PA.

After missing the initial ten games of the season, Taleah Washington made herseason debut on December 21 against Columbia. In the last game vs. Old Westbury, Washington established a new program milestone with a career-high 22 assists, surpassing Alice Burgos’ 1989 record of 16 assists. Her 22 assists rank as the second highest in NCAAW history.

Fabozzi Continues To Shine

A native of Staten Island, she scored a career-best 38 points and secured a career-high 15 rebounds against Old Westbury. The 38 points rank tied for the tenth highest in Wagner history. Fabozzi netted the decisive basket against NJIT to clinch the game with 1.8 seconds left on the clock. This graduate student currently ranks third in the NEC for points per game (15.7) and makes a comeback after participating in seven games last season due to a knee injury.

The Rise of Keana Foz 

Keana Foz has started each match this season for the Green & White. She leads the NEC with steals per game (2.4). In addition to her steals prowess, Foz ranks twelfth in assists per game (2.4).

Earlier in the season, Foz was honored as the NEC’s Rookie of the Week, averaging 12 points, 3.5 assists, and 3 rebounds over two games. She was also acknowledged in the 2024 FIU Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament Team.

Wagner currently holds the leading position in blocks per game in the NEC (3.3) and ranks fifth in the conference based on its record.
