Mill City Welcomes the Bryant Bulldogs for an Exciting Clash with the River Hawks!

LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women’s basketball squad (2-14, 0-4 AE) is preparing to welcome America East rival Bryant (8-9, 1-3 AE) at home in Costello Athletic Center on Saturday, January 18, with the tipoff expected at 1 p.m.

Recent Performance of the River Hawks 

Sophomore Rayne Durant (New Haven, Conn.) achieved a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, along with three blocks and one assist. Freshman Jennah Johnson (Woodbridge, N.J.) reached a personal best, matching the team high for the day with 15 points. She contributed three rebounds, two steals, one assist, and one block. As a collective unit, the River Hawks outperformed their opponents from beyond the arc, registering 50.0% compared to 44.4%.

Recently, Bryant faced a defeat of 55-40 against UAlbany on Thursday night, where Bulldog Breezie Williams led the team with 15 points.  

Williams holds an average of 11 points per game this season, with a shooting percentage of 41.2% from the field. Nia Scott averages 8.7 rebounds each game. Mia Mancini currently leads the squad in assists and steals with 45 and 21, respectively. Maranda Nyborg is the team leader in blocks with 13.
