PRINCETON, N.J.- Following a successful fall season that concluded with three competitors representing the Tigers at the inaugural fall NCAA Individual Championships, the Princeton men’s tennis squad is prepared to commence their campaign. They are set for a Midwest journey to compete against Notre Dame, Depaul, and Wisconsin. Princeton will clash with Notre Dame on Friday, Jan. 17 for the spring season kickoff at 6:30 PM ET in South Bend, Ind.. The Tigers will engage in two matches on Sunday the 19th, starting with Depaul at 11:00 AM ET, followed by a night confrontation against Wisconsin at 4:00 PM ET.

Princeton aims to introduce a roster that has demonstrated their abilities this fall, with three competitors ranked in singles and three doubles pairings included. Paul Inchauspe heads the team with a singles ranking of No. 19 from the ITA. Fnu Ndunjianzan and Landon Ardila join Inchauspe within the top 125 men’s singles players, holding positions at No. 52 and No. 105 respectively.

Inchauspe achieved All-American recognition at the NCAA Individual Championships’ Round of 16, accomplishing this by defeating the tournament’s top-seeded player, Sebastian Gorzny of Texas, in a thrilling three-set match.

Filippos Astreinidis and Matthew Bosancic both attained rankings with two different partners in doubles; Inchauspe and Astreinidis secured the No. 51 position in doubles after reaching the Round of 16 at the NCAA Individual Championships. Astreinidis and Bosancic, alongside Bosancic and Milan Markovits, were ranked No. 79 and No. 113 respectively.

Notre Dame has begun the season with a 2-0 record, securing victories against Duquesne and Western Michigan. The Fighting Irish matches Princeton with three ranked doubles pairings: Sebastian Dominko and Peter Nad (No. 78), Jayanth Devaiah and Luis Llorens Saracho (No. 106), and Brian Bilsey and Noah Becker (No. 113). Dominko enters this matchup ranked No. 28 in singles.

Depaul compiled a 14-10 overall record in the 2023-24 season, which led them to clinch the Big East title. The Blue Demons faced defeat against No. 5 Kentucky in the initial round of the NCAA Tournament.

Wisconsin concluded last season with a 1-22 record and faced Princeton at Jadwin Gym. The Tigers attained a 6-1 victory, extending their winning streak to 10 matches at that time.
