KIRKSVILLE, MO. – A group of Bulldog seniors captured five out of six leading finishes for the Truman State women during a late afternoon matchup against Rockhurst (Mo.)
 
The women triumphed over the Hawks with a score of 131-73, marking their second consecutive victory against a Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) rival, whereas the Men fell behind, ending with a score of 121-84. Seniors Meg Heveroh and Emily Traube secured wins in two events each, while senior Kylie Strobl contributed the fifth to fortify the team’s victory.
 
Heveroh achieved victories in both the 1000 Yard Freestyle and 500 Yard Freestyle, clocking in at 10:21.53 and 4:57.79, respectively. Traube posted times of 23.15 in the 50 Yard Freestyle and 50.11 in the 100 Yard Freestyle for her individual triumphs. Strobl and senior Emma Harris finished 1-2 in the 100 Yard Backstroke with respective timings of 57.64 and 59.88.
 
The Truman State quartet comprising Strobl, junior Chloe Myers, senior Sidney Durbin, and Traube clinched the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:46.21. Additionally, the 200 Yard Freestyle team consisting of Heveroh, freshman Layla Walker, Strobl, and junior Taylor Graham recorded a winning time of 1:35.84.
 
Graduate student AJ Kohler, who triumphed in the 200 Yard Freestyle (1:39.07) and 100 Yard Butterfly (48.32), secured the sole victories for the Bulldogs on the men’s end of the competition.
 

Truman State Men’s Swimming is set to host Missouri S&T at the Pershing Natatorium at 1 p.m. on Saturday for its last meet of the regular season, while the women’s team will remain off until both teams compete in the GLVC Championships from Feb. 11-15 in Elkhart, Ind.
