Chill-Out Adventures Resurface at Freight House!

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) -Winter fans can celebrate! Icestravaganza is scheduled to present its stunning, complimentary showcase of ice art and winter enjoyment for individuals of all ages from Jan. 17 to 19 along Davenport’s Freight House Board Walk and Beiderbecke Drive.

Visitors will be able to admire magnificent sculptures crafted from 36,000 pounds of ice. The theme is “Art in Ice” and each artwork will be illuminated with vibrant LED lights from dusk until 10 p.m.

Event Schedule

Friday, Jan. 17

• 5 p.m. Event commences
• 5 – 7:30 p.m. Indoor hours for the Freight House Farmers Market
• 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Warming station by The Family Credit Union – complimentary hot chocolate
• 10 p.m. Event concludes and lights for sculptures are turned off

Saturday, Jan. 18

• 10 a.m. Event commences
• 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Indoor hours for the Freight House Farmers Market
• 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Live Ice Carving
• 3 – 5 p.m. Warming station by The Family Credit Union – complimentary hot chocolate
• 6 – 8 p.m. After Glow Party – no ticket necessary, live carving presentations with black lights, light show and DJ Buddha (warming tent and stage located in the parking lot, south of Freight House)
• 10 p.m. Event concludes and lights for sculptures are turned off

Sunday, Jan. 19

• 10 a.m. Event commences
• 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Indoor hours for the Freight House Farmers Market
• 4 – 5:30 p.m. Warming station by The Family Credit Union – complimentary hot chocolate
• 10 p.m. Event concludes and lights for sculptures are turned off

Whether you enjoy wandering among the sculptures on foot or prefer viewing them from the comfort of your vehicle through the drive-through display on Beiderbecke Drive, this event promises to enchant attendees of all ages.
