PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown’s men’s swimming and diving secured four victories but the Bears were defeated by Harvard 182-118 at the Coleman Aquatics Center on Friday afternoon (Jan. 17).

Rowland Lawver maintained his excellent performance this season, surpassing his 1-meter school record for the second consecutive meet with a score of 384.68 points. Lawver placed second in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events, achieving 351.38 points in the latter.

The Bears commenced the day with the quartet of Marton Nagy, Jack Kelly, Christopher Zhang, and Jonathan Gim clinching the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:29.09.

Marcus Lee won the 200 freestyle, clocking in at 1:38.65. Following that, Nagy secured a victory in the 100 backstroke with a time of 49.69. Additionally, Nagy achieved a second-place finish in the 200 breaststroke (2:00.63).

Matt Williamson’s finishing time of 4:30.98 earned him first place in the 500 freestyle.

Zhang earned second place in both the 50 free (20.43) and the 100 free (44.69). Christian Duetoft claimed second in the 1000 freestyle (9:25.46). Harrison Powe finished second in the 100 breaststroke (56.09). Jack Kelly secured second in the 100 butterfly (49.52), and Jack Maron was second in the 400 IM (4:00.30).
