Join the Festivities: Cal Poly Humboldt’s Polytechnic Anniversary Bash with Music and Community Spirit!

“This occasion is not merely an opportunity to savor excellent music and bond with friends—it marks a tribute to the progress Cal Poly Humboldt has achieved as a polytechnic institution,” states Sara Novak, assistant director of Alumni Relations. “It’s a time to pay homage to our origins, envision the future, and unite as a community to partake in the pride and enthusiasm of what makes Humboldt remarkable.”

Gather with Humboldt alumni, friends, families, faculty, and staff at the Arcata Theatre Lounge for an evening of live performances featuring The Distractions, a cover band comprising all staff, performing beloved tracks from the 80s and onwards. Local artist, Humboldt graduate, and current staff member, “B1G $UAV” (‘23, Wildlife) will open the show. His lyrics emphasize themes of environmental awareness and cherishing the planet.

Forever Humboldt’s inaugural gathering of 2025 will bring individuals together to reconnect, reflect, and celebrate the dynamic community and remarkable advancements Humboldt has accomplished since its transition to a polytechnic.
