Top-Ranked Women’s Swim & Dive Team Falls Short in Home Showdown with Tampa

The No. 1 Keiser University Women’s Swimming & Diving team suffered their first home meet loss of the season to the No. 4 NCAA Division II University of Tampa, with a score of 202.5-59.5, during a dual meet on Friday afternoon at the Lake Lytal Aquatic Center in West Palm Beach, Fla. The Seahawks recorded two victories in the events of 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle.

• Tampa maintains the all-time head-to-head record, 9-0
• The Spartans chose to wear tech suits for the meet, while Keiser did not
• Nikoline Biltoft-Jensen was narrowly beaten at the wall in the 100 Breast, clocking in at 1:05.10
• She also secured second place in the 200 Breast, finishing with a time of 2:22.54
• Luiza Bersi achieved second place in the 100 Fly with a time of 56.96

The Seahawks are set to visit Fort Lauderdale, Fla. to compete against Nova Southeastern on Friday, Jan. 24 at 10:00 a.m.
