ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The No. 4-rated University of Michigan men’s gymnastics squad (2-0) is set to kick off its away schedule at the 2025 Windy City Invitational on Saturday (Jan. 18) at 7 p.m. CST in Chicago, Illinois. The Wolverines will be competing alongside their Big Ten rival, Illinois, and several club teams at Navy Pier.

• Freshmen Carson Eshleman and Solen Chiodi made their collegiate introductions in the Wolverines’ first victory of the season (310.900) against Greenville (299.450) and Simpson (287.400) on Jan. 11. Also, graduate transfer Syam Buradagunta made his debut for the Maize and Blue.

• Eshleman secured event championships in the high bar (13.500) and the still rings (13.400), earning CGA Rookie of the Week accolades. His high bar score ties for first nationally, while his still rings score ranks fifth.

Kyle Walchuk triumphed in the pommel horse with a score of 13.700, David Wolma emerged victorious in the vault with a score of 14.350, and Logan McKeown won the parallel bars, scoring 13.750, totaling U-M’s five out of six event victories.

• Wolma’s vault score is ranked No. 1 nationally, while McKeown’s parallel bars score holds No. 2, and Walchuk’s pommel horse score is No. 5 in the country.
