WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men’s swimming and diving squad triumphed with a score of 161.5-134.5 at the Hart Center Pool against nonconference rival Providence Saturday afternoon.

This win marked the second consecutive victory for the Crusaders (3-2), while the Friars remained without a win at 0-5.

Junior Zach Bubonovich achieved two first-place finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke (59.15) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:12.12). Sophomore Austin Cutcher also secured two first-place finishes in the 1,000-yard freestyle (9:49.76) and the 500-yard freestyle (4:47.54). Junior Jack Greiner notched two first-place results in the 200-yard backstroke (1:57.41) and the 200-yard individual medley (1:58.43).

Sophomore Will Clark captured first place in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.12. Junior Jack Greiner took first in the 200-yard backstroke at 1:57.41. Junior Alex Michael and senior Rory Hess finished first (52.16) and second (52.35) in the 100-yard butterfly.

In the diving competitions, freshman Griffin Casey achieved first place with a score of 327.53 on the three-meter board, while sophomore Luke Parada finished in second with a score of 256.95. Casey (306.98) and Parada (276.30) also placed first and second in the one-meter dive.

Holy Cross is set to host Connecticut College (3-2) on Senior Day this upcoming Sunday, Jan. 26, at 1 p.m.
